Ninetales Builds and Items
Date modified: 12 March 2024 - By: Luqman Unite StatsFor a quick overview of build and stats, please see the following: Ninetales stats overview
Pokemon Strengths
Its passive is one of the best passives. It decreases movement speed by 30% for .75s.
You can also freeze them for 1s with boosted attacks, Snow Warning, and all moves (except Aurora Veil) sling snow after hitting the same target with snow 4 times.
Pokemon Weaknesses
Like all special attackers, Ninetales has low health and is quick to get knocked out.
She also has slightly above average movement speed. And only one movement ability so if you don’t use Aurora Veil you would not have any.
So, it’s easy to get caught out by get shredded by enemy team.
Positioning is key to mastering Ninetales.
Best Build
Ninetales is a Special Attacker and ability Pokemon. This Pokemon use its abilities to do most of its damage.
So the higher ability damage items the better. With that in mind, you should use these below.
Recommended held items: Choice Specs, Slick Spoon and Wise Glasses.
Recommended battle items: Use Eject Button for survivability or to initiate with your Unite move.
Recommended Moves: Avalanche and Blizzard
Mr. Freeze Build (or how to annoy your enemies)
Let’s be creative. Ninetales has a passive to freeze enemies once it gets hit 4 times with boosted attacks, Snow Warning, and all moves (except Aurora Veil).
Also, Aurora Veil gives you a 15% Attack Speed. This makes it quicker to freeze your enemies.
With all these in mind, I thought why not try it out.
To do this you would need high attack speed so this would be Muscle Band and Rapid-Fire Scarf. Add on Slick Spoon so you could ignore the enemy’s 20% Special Defense.
Use the Eject Button for survivability. Remember that because you don’t have many Special Attack items, your Unite move doesn’t do as much damage as using all ability items.
Recommended Moves: Dazzling Gleam and Aurora Veil
